Fish Fry
On the second Friday of every month Gibson Avenue's Deacons will be having a Fish Fry Fundraiser. The donations from this fundraiser goes to help with some necessary repairs of the church. The 2nd Friday of every month From:11am-7pm $6.00 DonationThis includes: Fillet Whiting,hush-puppies,coleslaw, sweet tea, and green beans.
Deserts will be sold for a
donation of $1.00

2010 Golf Tournament
Gibson Avenue Baptist Church 10th Annual Golf Tournament. Held at Topsail Greens in Hamstead NC. Saturday September 18th, 2010. 8:30 am Shotgun Start. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. $50.00 per person includes: Golf, 2 meals and prizes such as 50/50 Raffle and many more.$50.00 Hole Sponsorship Fee. In addition to golfing in this tournament you or your business can sponsorship a hole. All sponsorships will be represented on a hole with a sign including name and phone number. You do not have to be participating in the golf tournament to sponsor a hole. The funds from this tournament go to help support the needs of the church. Plus having some fun along the way. Youth Fundraiser

Gibson Avenue Youth are bringing back the potatoes. By popular demand they are having two potato events for the month of July. They are having a Potato Luncheon on July 11, 2010 after church service. The cost for a loaded baked potato will all the trimmings including ice cream and a drink is $5.00. And again on July 25, 2010. Same price. This event is also a Potato Luncheon. Gibson Avenue's Church Bus!
We are in need of a new church bus. We
are raising funds to
provide a new bus for our church. This bus
provides transportation to church members, travels to events, carries our youth on missions and so much

G.A.B.C. Youth Sponsorships
To Whom It May Concern:
Gibson Avenue Baptist Church Youth is raising
monies to fund a mission trip to Brooklyn and the
Bronx in New York. We will be leaving August 7, 2010.
They will be instructed by the North American Mission
Board as to their itinerary. The total cost of this trip is
$4,000.00($210.00 per person). They have worked hard
to raise $2,000.00 thus far. Although the desire is there,
funds are limited. Their goal is to seek God's will to be
done in each of them. Their mission is to go, experience
diversity, build character, and relationships, and give
refuge to those in serious need. They are reaching out
to the community for anyone who is willing to sponsor
a youth or this trip. We greatly thank you for your time
and consideration in helping them achieve this great
commission. Please do not forget to keep them in your
prayers. Again, thank you!

Penny War
Youth Fundraiser
Starting Sunday June 27 , 2010 G.A.B.C. Youth are having a penny war. This penny war is like nonother. This penny war is to raise monies for the youth but the grand prize is the most funfilled part of this war. We will have a Pros & Cons bucket set out. Cons is for having the Pastor shave his head (Grand Prize). Pros is for not having the Pastor shave his head. Each penny is concidered a vote. Which ever bucket has the most change (votes) in it wins. Like to know more on this war please contact Melissa McKoy @ 910-763-2658. Thanks
Looks like the congregation is speaking. Lots of money is raised so far. They are against the Pastor shaving his head but we cant let that happen. If you want to see the Pastor shave his head or not please call the church office and vote monies PRO or CON. This money helps contribute to the funds needed for the youth to take their mission trip to New York City. Thanks! :)
